In order to address the need for a new homeless women’s shelter in Saint John, our Board of Directors first came together in early 2009. Since that time, our plans are now centered on prevention and elimination of homelessness on an individual case-by-case basis.
Since our incorporation in 2010, we have assisted with various situation such as homelessness, fires, evictions, outstanding rent and damage deposit issues, abusive relationships, transients from other provinces, power disconnections and high power billings, inadequate affordable housing, financial difficulties, loss of employment, loss of income and no income, Child Tax Benefit loss and Income Tax Issues, Child Protection issues and stability needs, household items, children needs, emergency food, income and children issues, school, and medical needs, moving needs, and bed bug issues to name a few.
